Hello guys Smile

It has been a while since I visited your forum. I would like to ask you to support my initiative addressed to BI developers to fix one of the oldest bugs in the whole ARMA series.

All details regarding the issue can be found here: https://forums.bohemia.net/forums/topic/216507-17-years-old-bug-in-a3-a-fallen-static-objects-geometries-bug/?do=findComment&comment=3288250

BTW. Nice to see you guys are still around Wink

Regards

I offered my support in your BIS thread. It may fall on deaf ears, but it's worth it to ask.

The issue is DestructTree damage type which causes the object to disable its geometries once it is destroyed. Obviously it has been reported for years. It can't be fixed by an addon because the way a damage type works is hardcoded into the game engine and it has been that way since OFP.

AI seeing through 'alive' standing bushes, trees etc. is a different kind of issue. Each model has its geometries and the one that is responsible for obscuring AI field of view - View Geometry - is crucial. It depends on how precise this geometry is/was made. This way it refers to all the objects in the game.

Once again, thank you guys for your support Smile
